Once vibrant downtown made internationally famous by James Michener’s novel Centennial.

Since Listing:
The Greeley Downtown Development Authority was developed and built a strong support network of business people through their Main Street board. Plaza redevelopment began, opening plazas to automobile traffic and removing some of the newer facades to reveal historic storefronts. Businesses are returning to the district, although downtown Greeley still loses business and city departments to the outer edges of town. However, the City Museum rehabbed a historic building and occupied it in 2005. Later in the same year, the Ice Huas, an ice arena, completed construction of a new compatible building. The Development Authority hopes these ventures will attract additional businesses.
