ON THE ROAD, GLENWOOD SPRINGS

This year the On the Road Heritage Tour event begins at 7 p.m. on September 12 at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs for a kick-off reception, hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

This year’s tour will blend pleasure with history as we enjoy a program with actors from the Frontier Historical Museum who will present stories of the Glenwood Springs pioneers at the Linwood Pioneer Cemetery.  Other events include a gondola ride to the Glenwood Caverns Fairy Caves, a tour of historic downtown, spending time with Tom “Dr. Colorado” Noel, and enjoying the natural delights along the Roaring Fork River.  “Come join CPI in Glenwood Springs, famous for the healing treasures of its pool, spas, and caves as well as historic structures,” says Mary Allman-Koernig, Executive Director of CPI.  “Our tours truly bring to life Colorado’s colorful past for tour participants.”

Cost:  $85 (lodging and breakfasts not included). Order tickets below or call (303) 893-4260.

Suggested lodging (not included):  Please make your reservation early with one of our event sponsors and mention Colorado Preservation Inc. for a special event rate.  Be sure to make your reservations before August 1, 2008.
