Vona Water Supply Tank

Architectural Description:
This poured-concrete water tank is twelve sided, or dodecagonal. Each of the twelve sides is approximately 4’ long, and the diameter of the tank is about 14’. The roof is metal and is also dodecagonal. There is a metal maintenance door located on the south side of the tank. Directly above the door and on the top half of the tank there is a metal ladder. Ladder brackets remain on the bottom half of the tank below the ladder.
Historical Background:
The water tank was a WPA project. It was sponsored by the Town of Vona. The federal allocation for the project was $9,103. It was reported that the project provided important jobs for the men of Vona.
