On the Road 2026
June 13 & 14 in Buena Vista
Join us in Buena Vista on June 13th & 14th (with an optional early check-in on June 12th) for a weekend that celebrates the rich history and vibrant cultural identity of this remarkable Colorado region! Organized by CPI and local partners, “On the Road” invites you to experience what makes Buena Vista unique.
This immersive, two-day event brings together local leaders, preservation professionals, and curious visitors for hands-on training, behind-the-scenes tours, and exclusive access to preservation projects that highlight the unique history and character of each host community. In addition to educational sessions and site visits, the event features a lively Taste Of celebration—an evening dedicated to showcasing the area’s local music, cuisine, artisans, and cultural traditions. With an average attendance of 75 to 150 participants, Saving Places On the Road offers a unique opportunity for communities to share their preservation successes, explore region-specific challenges, and foster meaningful connections with a statewide network of advocates.
"ON THE ROAD" SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Support CPI’s On the Road event—a two-day program exploring how historic preservation planning and practice create healthy, vibrant communities through 4–5 curated tours and stories of both well-known and overlooked places. Sponsorship packages (from $500–$3,500) offer meaningful visibility, including complimentary registrations, recognition on the CPI website and in the conference packet, and opportunities to share promotions with attendees (with select levels also including logo placement on lanyards/name tags and brief remarks during featured sessions).
