Walsenburg Power Plant

This plant represents an important time period in American History when the country was changing from steam to electric power. It was constructed to provide energy to the Walsen Mine and the town of Walsenburg. It is the last remaining structure of the Walsen Camp mining settlement from the late 1870s.
